Bienvenidos otro miércoles a una nueva entrada de Yentelman, el blog en el que aprenderéis inglés y, si os descuidáis, hasta español.

Seguimos con los clásicos. Tras la balada a cargo del Boss de la semana pasada, nos toca algo un poquito más rápido pero no por ello menos glorioso. Hoy vamos a practicar con un temazo del legendario Gary Moore, uno de los precursores del heavy metal cuyos temas han sido versioneados hasta la saciedad por multitud de grupos, hasta el punto de que algunas versiones se han llegado a hacer tan famosas como el original, si no más. Un ejemplo de ello es el tema de hoy, Over the Hills and Far Away, cuya versión a cargo de Nightwish es muy popular. Otros grupos del mundillo metalero también han aportado sus versiones de este tema, como es el caso de los suecos Thyrfing o los españoles Saurom.

En resumidas cuentas, con el original Over the Hills and Far Away a cargo de la inigualable voz de Gary Moore os dejamos. Os recuerdo el proceso recomendado para este ejercicio: tres escuchas, la primera para ir siguiendo la letra a la vez que escucháis la canción, comprobar los huecos y las posibles palabras que van en ellos, pero sin escribir nada aún; la segunda escucha será la de escritura, donde ya deberéis rellenar el mayor número de espacios posibles; finalmente, una tercera escucha en la que revisaréis aquellas palabras que ya hayáis completado y rellenaréis las dudosas o las que os falten.

Es conveniente hacer alguna pausa entre escuchas, sobre todo después de la segunda, a fin de comprobar si lo que habéis puesto tiene sentido (independientemente de lo que hayais creído oir) o si hay alguna palabra que suena parecida y se ajusta más a la frase.
